Jim presented a captivating and informative lecture covering the very real challenges posed by new building methods and materials that are hampering insurance provision at a time when net-zero ambitions are pressing. New guidance and research aimed at unlocking the required capacity is discussed in terms of practical measures that accept the strengths and weaknesses of different construction materials and the creation of hybrid buildings with resilience fully considered.
