Mark has been an officer with the Met since 1989, however his policing experience dates back to 1980 when he joined the RAF Police. Mark joined the Flying Squad in April 2006 and has been involved in a number of high profile crime reduction initiatives with industry, including developing minimum-security standards for the Airfreight Industry (www.AIMSS.info) and the betting industry (The Safe Bet Alliance.)
 
Mark daily assists companies to improve the physical and process security of their business and the management structure required to support their security regime.

Mark will look at the work that the Flying Squad has done with bookmakers, jewellers and the Airfreight Industry to introduce minimum security standards and the effect that these projects have had on businesses, the police and insurers.

Following the meeting, we retire to the Elephant Public House, which is on Fenchurch Street immediately opposite the Aviva building where AiS will provide complimentary sandwiches.
