Fire Brigade Response to AFA Systems

Monday, 27 February, 2012
5:30pm
BT Redcare, 11-13 Great Tower Street, London EC3B 3DE

John Judd QFSM, Director John Judd Associates Ltd

John has 38 years of experience within the Fire and Rescue Service and has an unrivalled career serving in senior management positions with Lancashire FRS, Greater Manchester FRS and London Fire Brigade.

John provides consultancy services on fire safety and management matters to a number of organisations.

Changes to legislation will give the fire and rescue service the power to make a charge for attending false alarm calls.  Will the fire and rescue service use this power, how much will they charge and in what circumstances?  In his presentation, John Judd will set out the scale of the problem of false alarms, what has been done in the past to reduce the frequency of such calls and the approach fire and rescue services may take with this new power.

Following the meeting, we retire to the Elephant Public House, which is on Fenchurch Street immediately opposite the Aviva building where AiS will provide complimentary sandwiches

To those members who normally attend, we are grateful for your continued support and would welcome any colleagues you might bring along. Remember, attending an AIS lecture earns 15 credits for those on the CII CPD Scheme.
